Does Your Goals Template Include Helping Others Succeed?

One of the most important things required these days (as always in business) is a goals template. If you have a home based network marketing business, your own personal goals should include helping others succeed. Why? Because you need to be a team player and be prepared to be a LEADER and helping others in your team to succeed will also build your own business.

How to adopt a workable goals template.

This is pretty simple really – you can get many templates from the internet in different layouts for different types of goal setting. What you need for yourself in order for your business to grow faster is a daily planner that is focused on your daily activities. You must also make sure that the template includes your objectives and the completion date so you can hold yourself accountable. This will enable you to monitor your progress and, should you need a change of strategy or need to put more focus on a particular task, you can do this.

Because everything is written down and in front of you, you can easily adapt and change or “crank things up” if you need to do that.

3 Mistakes To Avoid In Internet Network Marketing

There has been a growing trend these days to use the Internet to build your MLM business and more and more companies are jumping onto the Internet Network Marketing bandwagon. I can remember when all we were taught was the old traditional methods of approaching friends and family and building your contact list by means of finding people you may know through the type of work they do and offering them a new way to earn money.

Because of the financial climate, it has become more crucial for people to find ways to earn extra money from an extra job or from a home business that could turn into a full time income from part time work (which is when the MLM business owner comes looking for the opportunity to prospect).

As MLM business owners, we have all been told at some time or other to “keep to the plan” and we will achieve success. However, we would get rejected for being too “pushy” and this would make us seem desperate. Sound familiar? What the internet marketers teach is different. AND it is proving to be THE way to market for prospects these days too.

With the advent of social media, with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more, it is far more crucial for us to develop a completely different approach to the old tradition of “friends and family” and potentially hounding these people to join us in our business and then be ridiculed or ignored or both.

Internet Network Marketing  - the 3 mistakes to avoid

  1. One of the biggest mistakes that is made first of all is the new internet network marketer doesn’t start by identifying their target prospect. They tend to approach anyone and everyone and, because they don’t understand the particular needs of everyone, will see a lot of failures. This can lead to disappointment and dejections and a desire to quit. The importance of finding the right target prospect is as essential as an electrician promoting rewires and other electrical installation projects. If the skill is electrical it’s not much use, or very credible for them to be promoting cat food when they have an electrical theme to their business.

So, if you know what an electrician who has a business that is struggling, and have a SOLUTION to their problem and can HELP them to earn extra income, that is what you need to market. The solution is key to the target prospect you can serve.

When Marketing For Leads You Should Look For Multiple Sources.

Being in business, whether in traditional business or home business and MLM, the lifeblood of every business is customers. In direct marketing, customers come from generating leads. Much like multiple streams of income, where you can have several sources of income, you should, when marketing for leads, look for multiple sources to get leads from.

What are the benefits of multiple sources when marketing for leads?

If you have only one source of lead generation, and if that falters or fails, then you have no sources to work with. If you can find several sources, like about 10 – 20 for example, then if you lose one source, you still have the rest that are bringing in those leads for you. Remember that getting more leads will bring you more income. If you have developed multiple offers or have affiliated to offers that will help your new prospects to develop and earn as well, you will make more money.

Your email list is like gold, so build it and develop those relationships and find as many viable ways possible to get more leads to join your list.

You must TEST each source when marketing for leads.

When you have found useful sources to obtain leads, whether they are paid leads or not, the important thing is to track your results so you can find the best sources. This will benefit you greatly in the end because you will have a list of places that you KNOW will provide you with quality leads generally and take out the guess work.

Make sure you monitor your sources regularly in case there is a change. That was you will know if you need to give the source a “rest” for a while or find another that is more effective.

Testing and monitoring is essential to stay on top of the game when marketing for leads.

Methods of developing multiple streams of leads

When you are developing your list of sources to have multiple streams of leads in your marketing strategy, there are several ways you can get this working.

1.       Develop a blog and post good content, enticing people to sign up to your list with at least 5 ways to do so. You need a 90 day plan to develop this and a good blogging course would be advisable unless you are competent and confident to do this.

2.       Research as many free classified sites as you can and post different types of adverts for your product or opportunity.

3.       Find ezines in your niche that allow free ads. These may not be as effective as paid ads, but worth a try if you can write an effective ad that entices people to your offer.

4.       Join forums in your niche and use a link to a capture page in your signature, which is another great way to develop and get more leads. Make sure you entice the click by offering a way to HELP people with the problem they have. This is the key to ALL marketing. If you don’t know what a capture page is, don’t worry. There is a lot of training available for this. There is a training facility that will help you develop these skills and provides you with many capture pages to products you can affiliate to within the system. You can find out more about that system here.

5.       Use paid marketing such as Google adwords, Facebook ads or Yahoo. All these are “pay per click” and you can set a daily budget that you can afford so you don’t overstretch yourself.

6.       Use solo ads – another form of paid marketing that is more targeted than free sites.

7.       Make use of web banners. You can get people to a capture page or your website / blog by using banners that can be posted to free or paid sources in your niche. The more traffic to the site where your banner is placed the better because you are more likely to get leads from those sources. A great place to advertise (and get paid to advertise) can be found by clicking here.

I hope these tips will help you to get the best from you efforts when marketing for leads. I hope to be reading about you as the next great success story soon.

Don't Think You're Too Old To Find A Career You Love!

There are many people I have spoken to who are over 40 and yet they think they are too old to change. With the educational resources available to people these days, it’s completely possible for YOU to find a career you love.

Take me – I spent 30 years as an electrician having worked with my father for most of those years. The thing was, I was never passionate about the job and when I took over the business, my heart was never in it and eventually the business failed. There is more of a story, but essentially that’s the way things worked out. Now I have PASSION for what I do. I love to help people and build my business by helping others to do the same. I am now 53, but wasted so much of my life by forgetting who “I” am.

One thing you need to ask yourself – “am I TRULY happy with what I do on a daily basis”? If yes, then this article won’t be for you. If you’re not, then read on……..

What to do to find a career you love.

The first thing you need to do is to think about what you’re hobbies are that really excite you. You then have two options:

1.       Do some research and see if you can start a traditional business, bearing in mind the start up costs or……

2.       Find a company you can be a distributor for who will have the products you feel comfortable promoting.

Option 2 will require working with a company that is involved with Network Marketing or has an affiliate program that has great commissions that will help you to earn enough to have a full time income.

“Network marketing is the big wave of the future. It’s taking the place of franchising, which now requires too much capital for the average person.” — Jim Rohn, America’s Business Philosopher

Taking the Network Marketing company option is one of the best ways because you can be set up for a minimal cost that is affordable to most people. Also you get great training and support from a team of experts whose mission is to help you to succeed. Why? Simply because your success adds to their success. If you are teachable and willing to take advice from anyone who has the skills and can train you to be successful and develop a sustainable income for much less work than a conventional business, why should age be perceived as a barrier to find the career you love. If you enjoy working with people and have the desire to help others succeed too, then this could be just the type of business you are looking for to develop your new career.

“Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.” – Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author

In this technological age, there is so much information that is available to us and also there are great leaders who make themselves available to those who join their team to ensure success.

What do you need to progress your dream career?

1.       You need a proven training system

2.       You need a proven daily system and blueprint for success

3.       You need desire and commitment from yourself. And…

4.       You have to be prepared to work on YOU and develop the right mindset in order to have the success you crave.

These simple tips will help to lay the foundation for you to explore and find a career you love, no matter what your age. Don’t ever believe it’s too late and believe in yourself. Face your FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) and follow your dreams. Don’t forget who you are and don’t accept the everyday grind that is bringing you down and making you miserable.

If You Have A Network Marketing Business These Days You Will Need A Social Media Marketing Strategy.

Living in the era of computers, internet and the fantastic opportunities open to all of us who work in network marketing; it’s no surprise that you will need a social media marketing strategy to help you to build your business.

As you may know, network marketing has been around for quite a long time now, but social media marketing and using this genre in your marketing is relatively new. Regardless of how old or new each one is, they are an effective way to make money if you know how to use them properly.

One of the most important things that anyone in network marketing needs is connections and leads for their business. Social media offers so much for us all to exploit and make more connections and use to generate targeted leads. Bearing this in mind, what everyone who wants to use social media for business will require a tangible and effective social media marketing strategy.

What is an effective social media marketing strategy?

Using social media requires a certain approach so that you won’t be ignored and thought of as a spammer. Making the right connections is pretty simple in concept. One easy way is to follow people who you admire and visit their page regularly and join in the discussions. This is especially true on Facebook, where you can “Like” a business or individual marketer’s page and get into that community actively. It’s important to add value to the conversation and you will get noticed. People will then want to find out more about you and what you have to offer.

Remember that marketing is about solving people’s problems. Get the connection and then ask lots of questions. That way you are more attractive to these people because you can HELP them.

You can make more connections by searching through the groups where your potential prospects hang out and then message them. First thing to do is to check them out a little and find out if you have a common interest. This will enable you to make an initial connection in your contact message, which could read something like:

“Hi Name, I hope you don’t mind me contacting you. I notice that you are well into dog training and I have a mutual interest in the same thing. Perhaps we could exchange tips and tricks? It would be great to connect with you. Hope to talk with you soon. Regards, Your Name”

This is a polite and easy way to “break the ice” and not as offensive as requesting the friend and then pitching the next best product you believe in on their wall. First of all, you have no idea if they have the same belief structure as you and the other thing is it’s downright rude and can be seen as offensive.

Whether you are using Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site, the principle is the same. Yes, you need to ask for the connection, but adding value FIRST and politely asking for a connection is vital to begin your social media marketing strategy effectively. Asking questions is key to find out more about how you can help your prospect to solve THEIR problem.

Social media marketing strategy is what?

“It’s not about the products, it’s about the relationships.”

There are many great marketers out there who are having massive success on social media marketing and are real masters. Attraction marketing is really “heading the game” and sites like Facebook and Twitter are where it’s at, closely followed by Pinterest and then the rest behind that. If you want to make money from social media and build a great business you need this effective strategy and provide the best value you can to the marketplace.

Make the most of your very own social media marketing strategy and I hope to see you being the great success you want to be.

What Is Online Branding? - 7 Ways To Build Your Online Credibility

Some people are asking “what is online branding?” Quite simple, it’s where you take your brand online and make it popular. How do we do this? I hope to answer this question here and help you to build your online credibility and start to build your brand.

Here are seven ways to build your online credibility.

Online Branding Tip 1 - Place your photo everywhere possible (or your logo if this is not personal branding).

If you are running a traditional type of business where you have a premises to work from, building a brand and credibility is usually easier to do. The advantage is that the visiting client / customer has face to face contact and can start a conversation. This makes it a lot easier to ‘connect’ and form a relationship.

If you are working in network marketing, it’s more important to brand yourself. The main reason is that YOU need to make the connection in order to build YOUR business. To do this you need to show you are real and the first way to do this is by showing photographs of yourself and your family. This helps to provide social proof that you are “real” and should help to set people’s mind to rest when they contact you.

This is vital in business these days because there have been so many scams around. People want to know you are what you say you are, so be honest and upfront with everyone and your brand will grow.

Online Branding Tip 2 - Provide your users with a video or audio message

This is closely connected to tip 1. What this does is to further prove you are “real” and provides a better connection with your visitor. It’s important to show that we are not computers, we just use them. One of the best ways to communicate these days is via video on sites like You Tube. Also, because you can embed the video onto your website, you have direct connection with your website visitor. This also shows your enthusiasm and emotions and further increases the foundation to a relationship and connection.

If you don’t like to see yourself on video, or are not yet confident enough to use this genre, the next best thing is an audio message. Your potential new prospect can at least hear your voice and receive a valuable message from you.

Remember, the more REAL you are to your prospects, the more likely they are to be attracted to knowing more about you and becoming a customer or joining your business.

Online Branding Tip 3 – Put your contact information and real phone number everywhere you are online.

This is another thing that will provide your visitor with more confidence because you are prepared to share your contact information. Don’t be surprised if you get some calls to prove that you are real – this tends to happen from time to time. The major benefit to this is that it provides your potential prospect with more proof that you are a real person.

Your address also adds a sense of structure to the very fluid environment of the Internet. It is much like the sign on a brick and mortar store – this is where I am and you can contact me any time.

Can you be reached by fax, landline phone, email, and mobile phone? This information adds to your credibility, not to mention your perceived availability.

Online Branding Tip 4 – Get your own website and email.

Perception is one of the most important things to consider when building your online brand and credibility. Do you think it would harm your credibility if you were to use a free email service such as Hotmail or a free website / blog service such as blogger or similar? Maybe or maybe not – it’s all according how other people view this and whether they perceive your credibility by using a free service. What is your own view on this? Do you believe you would believe someone is credible if they have an email address that is name@hotmail.com or name@ownsite.com?

Having your own hosted website and your own email, which could well be redirected to a free email service (remember it’s the perception of the prospect), is a more professional approach and will be viewed that way.

Online Branding Tip 5 – Make sure that you have an ‘About’ page.

One of the most important pages on your site will be the ‘about’ or ‘about me’ page. This is where you can go through your history and opens up more about you and your life. This will enable your visitor to come to a decision whether they wish to work with you or become your customer.

The type of information you should place on this page includes:

- a personal and professional biography,

- maybe a photograph of yourself and, if you are branding yourself, with your family,

- name, address and telephone number,

- your goals and objectives,

- a comprehensive description of what you have to offer your prospect and how you can help them.

Don’t be afraid to make yourself available to be “checked out” as this will further improve your credibility and connection with the visitor.

Online Branding Tip 6 - Include a ‘Privacy Statement’.

Apart from being something that people in general are looking for, a privacy statement / policy is vital these days. Internet users are becoming more and more sensitive to how their personal information is being used.

General concerns that would have to be addressed are:

*How you use the information that is collected.

*Is the information shared with a third party?

*Let them know how they can opt out of any mailing list they sign up for.

*Why you track their IP address.

There are many ways you can get a satisfactory privacy statement. The best way is to check online and follow procedures set out there. Google have a generic privacy policy that can be used on websites and this will improve your credibility with search engines and public alike.

Online Branding Tip 7 – Whenever possible, get testimonials.

You are marketing your product or service so it’s rather obvious to anyone that you are going to be enthusiastic about it and this is not going to add weight to your marketing and sales efforts. What you will need is testimonials from customers and colleagues who work with you in your MLM team, who you have helped to build their businesses. Why? Because this is one of the ultimate ways to build your brand and credibility because OTHERS are saying these things about you and / or your products.

Providing unsolicited testimonials from your customers will provide more social proof that you can be trusted. All testimonials should be complete with the name and email address of the person plus their website if this is applicable. Too little information from the person providing the testimonial could mean the comment it less believable. Getting the contact info of the person provides another opportunity for the potential prospect to check you out.

So pour on the testimonials – too much is not enough.

I hope these tips have helped to answer the question what is online branding? And have helped to provide and insight into building your online credibility

To the future,
